A native Texan, Nancy Sims has spent a lifetime in Texas business and politics. She’s a straight shooter that calls it like she sees it. Nancy knows everybody. As owner of Nancy Sims LLC, Nancy capitalizes on her deep experience and strategic instincts to guide clients on government relations, media relations, crisis communications, community relations and more. Her clients range from energy companies to developers to top retailers. Nancy can help solve problems and generate results in a timely fashion.

Prior to setting up her own business, Nancy spent 16 years with Pierpont Communications and 15 years owning her own business. At Pierpont, Nancy was Senior Vice President of Public Affairs where she worked a wide variety of clients on multiple issues. When Nancy owned Quantum Consultants, a Public Affairs firm, she was an active lobbyist in the Texas Legislature and an advisor to many of Texas’ leading officials.

Nancy is recognized by the media for her critical insights and political analysis. She currently serves as one of the analysts for KUHF Radio (NPR Houston) and is a regular on Houston Matters.

Nancy also serves as a Lecturer in Political Science at the University of Houston. She teaches Women in Politics as well as political engagement courses. She shares that she is training the next generation of operatives.

Nancy practices what she preaches regarding community service. She has served on numerous non-profit boards throughout her years of engagement. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of the The Montrose Center.

Nancy earned her MLA from the University of St. Thomas in Houston and her BA in Government from Sam Houston State University. She served as an intern in Congress in Washington D.C., an intern in the British Parliament in London and studied abroad in Ireland.
